PopPals — Privacy Policy & Support

PopPals: Bubble Pop (“PopPals”, “the game”, “we”, “our”) is developed by Andre Ribeiro. This page explains what data is collected when you play PopPals, how it is used, and how to get help.
1. Data We Collect
- Leaderboard data — To power the global leaderboard, the game signs in anonymously with Firebase Authentication, which gives your install a random identifier. Linked to that identifier we store your nickname, best score, best level, platform (iOS or Android) and the time of your last score, in Google Firestore. No email, password or real name is collected by us.
- Nickname — If you are signed in to Game Center (iOS) or Google Play Games (Android), your nickname is your Game Center alias or Play Games gamer name. Otherwise the game generates a random name for you (for example “Bubbly Panda”). Your nickname and score are visible to other players on the leaderboard.
- Game progress — Your candy balance, sound setting and local records are stored only on your device and are deleted when you uninstall the game.
- Advertising — We use Google AdMob to show interstitial and rewarded ads. AdMob may collect device identifiers and usage data to show relevant ads. You can opt out of personalised ads in your device settings.
- Purchases — If candy packs are offered as in-app purchases, they are handled entirely by Apple’s App Store or Google Play. We never see or store your payment details.
We do not run analytics or crash reporting SDKs, and we do not track you across apps or websites.
2. How We Use Your Data
- To show the global leaderboard and your rank on it
- To display advertisements
- To deliver in-app purchases you have made
3. Data Sharing
We do not sell your data. Data is shared only with the third-party services listed below, each governed by their own privacy policy:
- Firebase (Google) — Anonymous authentication, leaderboard storage
- Google AdMob — Advertising
- Apple Game Center / Google Play Games — Player name
- Apple App Store / Google Play — In-app purchases
4. Data Retention
Leaderboard entries are kept for as long as the leaderboard exists, unless you ask us to delete yours. Game progress lives on your device for as long as the game is installed. Advertising data is retained by Google per their own retention policies.
5. Children
PopPals is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us with personal data, please contact us and we will delete it.
6. Your Rights
Depending on your location you may have the right to access, correct, or delete your personal data. To have your leaderboard entry removed, email us your nickname (and roughly your best score) and we will delete it. Deleting the app removes all game data stored on your device.
